RBTS WIN Test Drive New Single "Gold Beamer"; Now Streaming via OnesToWatch
Last month, North Carolina duo RBTS WIN announced their return with news of the band’s upcoming album, happy_sad.jpg — out later this year. We’ve already heard lead single “Some Daze” (which premiered via Glide Magazine) and now they’ve just shared another taste from the LP.
Debuting today courtesy of Ones To Watch, listen to “Gold Beamer” — a luxurious ride of indie pop with a tint of hip-hop that mirrors Chet Faker, Dominic Fike, and Cautious Clay.
Comprised of Cliff B. Worsham and Javier Bolea, RBTS WIN forge their own brand of cerebral pop music in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Invoking the harmony and chaos of analog synthesizers and old-school samplers, the collective of sonic adepts have grown a cult following throughout the southeast.
As much as the Asheville-based duo’s work eschews formula or convention, they frequently explore themes of love, spirit, and connection, along with musical references to the natural world. A mainstay at MoogFest over the years, the band has gained a reputation for cathartic live performances awash in voices, guitars, analog synthesizers, and drum machines.
