Secret Towns Dig Deep with "Lost In The Time"; Debuting in The Spill Magazine
Atlanta-based outfit Secret Towns is here with "Lost In The Time" — a massive storm of indie rock and shoegaze that approaches Wild Nothing, DIIV, and The xx.
Premiering today in The Spill Magazine, it’s the latest from the band's debut album Nightlights, a constellation of dream pop and ambient post-punk songs orbiting a nocturnal psychedelic sound. Recalling endless suburban nights, it tells a story of ever escaping moments from the past and present — from the excitement of potential times ahead to the mornings after.
Inspired by a formative period of young adult malaise from guitarist Luke Thornton, he’s joined by bassist Sam Pena, and drummer Harry Dulaney. Nightlights was produced by Damon Moon at Standard Electric Recorders Co. with additional production and mixing by Ben Etter (Franz Ferdinand, Deerhunter, Cut Copy).
Set to arrive on September 24th, prepare for the album by listening to “Lost In The Time” below. In case you missed it, "Still Life" debuted via New Noise Magazine in July, while a third single is on the way this month.
