North Carolina duo RBTS WIN is set to release their next record, happy_sad.jpg, this Friday — but we’ve lined up an exclusive premiere for you to hear it early today.
A cyclone of indie pop and hip-hop that spins towards Atmosphere, Chet Faker, and Foreign Air, the Asheville-based outfit’s upcoming album has quickly caught on with everyone this autumn from Variance Magazine and Ones To Watch to Glide Magazine and more.
“We knew we wanted to consciously dip our toes in the idea of making this more of a pop record than previous records but still keep the raw lyrical content,” RBTS WIN vocalist Cliff B. Worsham explains. “Like a pop record about depression and uncertainty because that’s what we were faced with at the time. A lot of uncertainty.”
