Atlanta nerve pop band Small Reactions is racing into 2021 with their latest single “New Age Soul”, a high speed chase of indie rock in pursuit of The Strokes, Parquet Courts, and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.
Now streaming courtesy of Atwood Magazine, it’s the second lap from the trio’s upcoming LP of the same name — which is expected to arrive on SofaBurn Records later this summer.
“The idea for ‘New Age Soul’ came from Little Danny’s show on WFMU called The Cool Blue Flame”, says Small Reactions frontman Scotty Hoffman. “He broadcasts from West Texas, so it conjured up all this desert imagery: cowboy ballads, and low-key ghost ’60s garage pop.“
