Maryland indie rock quartet Leisure Sport — featuring members Dana DiGennaro (vocals/guitar), Kyle Balkin (vocals/guitar), Cameron Thomas (bass) and Michael Habif (drums) — have signed to Future Chord ahead of the band’s debut EP release.
Hear lead single “Tennessee” right now — a dazzling state of dream rock magic that borders Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, and Beabadoobee. The song recently premiered in Variance Magazine and quickly gained the attention of acclaimed music publication NYLON.
Led by DiGennaro’s impeccable vocals, it's the first taste from Leisure Sport’s upcoming EP, Title Card — produced by Chris Freeland (Future Islands, Wye Oak, Lower Dens) and out later this summer.
Offering listeners graceful vocal harmonies, layered guitar melodies, and intricate rhythms, the record creates immersive sounds that are equal parts driving and melancholy. The five tracks explore breakups, one night stands, and finding inspiration in unexpected places.
