South Carolina quartet Quality Time released their new single "Recliner" earlier this year, and today they’ve shared a music video to complement the track — premiering via Under The Radar and streaming below.
It’s a velvet throne of indie rock that sits somewhere between Turnover, Tigers Jaw, and Origami Angel. The group teamed back up with The Animist, who directed the band’s critically acclaimed video for "Let Go" — which caught the attention of Flood Magazine and won an Upstate Music Award last year.
Originally formed out of high school, Quality Time has hit the ground running after a brief hiatus in 2019. Their latest album, Staring at the Ceiling From a Cold Bed, finds singer/guitarist Pearson Parham leading the Greenville-based outfit through ten tracks of effortlessly melodic, emotionally resonant rock — backed by Kyle Grant’s skyscraping guitars and the locked-in rhythms of drummer Jonathan Vandersloot and bassist John Balentine.
