Little Treblemakers Hit Sweet Spot; Debut "Marshmallow World" at PopWrapped

Little Treblemakers present their fifth annual Jingle Jam winter showcase this week — and today they're ringing in the season with a festive cover of "Marshmallow World".

Debuting over at PopWrapped, the Atlanta-based music education program delivers a sweet indie pop take on the classic holiday tune that stands underneath the mistletoe of contemporaries like Tennis, Cults, and Best Coast.

Offering beginner guitar, ukulele, piano, drums, and introductory voice lessons, the Little Treblemakers program is made for every child and is customized for all learning styles. Their philosophy of teaching emphasizes quality over pace and connectivity over deadlines — while lessons cater directly towards each student's personal goals and interests. The program even partners with national and regional touring bands to participate in various ways, including Lunar Vacation, Nordista Freeze, Dinner Time, Babe Club, and more.

Listen and watch "Marshmallow World" down below — captured by fellow Atlanta filmmaker Nic Huey with audio recorded by Damon Moon at Standard Electric Recorders Co. The band itself features several members of the Peach State's music scene, including Sydney Ward (Sydney Eloise & The Palms), Anna Griffith (bandanna), Tim Holder (bandanna), Hollis Griffin, and Andrew Barkau (Bathe Alone).

RBTS WIN Level Up with 'happy_sad.jpg', New Album Premiering via Indie88

North Carolina duo RBTS WIN is set to release their next record, happy_sad.jpg, this Friday — but we’ve lined up an exclusive premiere for you to hear it early today.

A cyclone of indie pop and hip-hop that spins towards Atmosphere, Chet Faker, and Foreign Air, the Asheville-based outfit’s upcoming album has quickly caught on with everyone this autumn from Variance Magazine and Ones To Watch to Glide Magazine and more.

“We knew we wanted to consciously dip our toes in the idea of making this more of a pop record than previous records but still keep the raw lyrical content,” RBTS WIN vocalist Cliff B. Worsham explains. “Like a pop record about depression and uncertainty because that’s what we were faced with at the time. A lot of uncertainty.”

Get the full scoop over at Indie88 — and click below to stream happy_sad.jpg before it officially hits shelves.

Premiering today in Spill Magazine, it’s the latest sample from the band’s upcoming album, The Highway Moves The World — set to arrive sometime in 2022.

Sara Rachele Announces New LP; Debuts "Heartstrings" via The Big Takeover

Stomping in with a cinematic new single, globetrotting troubadour Sara Rachele has emerged with “Heartstrings” — the title track from her upcoming album, out November 12th via Ropeadope Records.

A carriage of indie rock winding through clouds of Americana dust, the song is premiering today over at The Big Takeover.

It’s the first we’ve heard from the Peach State-bred musician this year (who now splits time between New York and her farm church in rural Tennessee). While she’s always displayed a wiseness beyond her years, “Heartstrings” finds the singer-songwriter sparkling with a more confident patina than ever before.

RBTS WIN Test Drive New Single "Gold Beamer"; Now Streaming via OnesToWatch

Last month, North Carolina duo RBTS WIN announced their return with news of the band’s upcoming album, happy_sad.jpg — out later this year. We’ve already heard lead single “Some Daze” (which premiered via Glide Magazine) and now they’ve just shared another taste from the LP.

Debuting today courtesy of Ones To Watch, listen to “Gold Beamer” — a luxurious ride of indie pop with a tint of hip-hop that mirrors Chet Faker, Dominic Fike, and Cautious Clay.

Comprised of Cliff B. Worsham and Javier Bolea, RBTS WIN forge their own brand of cerebral pop music in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Invoking the harmony and chaos of analog synthesizers and old-school samplers, the collective of sonic adepts have grown a cult following throughout the southeast.

As much as the Asheville-based duo’s work eschews formula or convention, they frequently explore themes of love, spirit, and connection, along with musical references to the natural world. A mainstay at MoogFest over the years, the band has gained a reputation for cathartic live performances awash in voices, guitars, analog synthesizers, and drum machines.

Stream Paige Beller's New Album; Now Premiering via Under The Radar

I’ll Be Better, the debut LP from Ohio-based songwriter Paige Beller, is officially out tomorrow on SofaBurn Records — but we’ve got an exclusive premiere lined up today courtesy of Under The Radar.

Stream it down below, and revisit a few of the many accolades that Beller has already received from globally recognized outlets like Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and PopWrapped.

Paige has steadily gained traction in midwest indie circles since her debut on the scene in the late 2000’s. Known for her multi-instrument approach, she’s turned what could have been another singer songwriter act into something that feels like an entire band — using drums, guitar, keys, synth and loops to create grand sonic landscapes. Beller’s style is raw and imaginative, delivering lyrics and melodies that are emotionally vulnerable, reminiscent of Rilo Kiley and Feist.

Growing up in Cincinnati, Beller was enamored by live performance. Shows and music quickly became an important part of life. Paige got her hands on a cheap guitar as quickly as she could and began to teach herself to play. Her musical style is heavily influenced by the basement shows she grew up with as well as her love of all things doo-wop.

Paige recorded several singles at Reel Love Recording Company in 2018, which eventually paved the way for I’ll Be Better — plus recent supporting slots with Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards), R. Ring, and Hamell on Trial.

Secret Towns Dig Deep with "Lost In The Time"; Debuting in The Spill Magazine

Atlanta-based outfit Secret Towns is here with "Lost In The Time" — a massive storm of indie rock and shoegaze that approaches Wild Nothing, DIIV, and The xx.

Premiering today in The Spill Magazine, it’s the latest from the band's debut album Nightlights, a constellation of dream pop and ambient post-punk songs orbiting a nocturnal psychedelic sound. Recalling endless suburban nights, it tells a story of ever escaping moments from the past and present — from the excitement of potential times ahead to the mornings after.

Inspired by a formative period of young adult malaise from guitarist Luke Thornton, he’s joined by bassist Sam Pena, and drummer Harry Dulaney. Nightlights was produced by Damon Moon at Standard Electric Recorders Co. with additional production and mixing by Ben Etter (Franz Ferdinand, Deerhunter, Cut Copy).

Set to arrive on September 24th, prepare for the album by listening to “Lost In The Time” below. In case you missed it, "Still Life" debuted via New Noise Magazine in July, while a third single is on the way this month.

RBTS WIN Share New Single in Glide Magazine; Added To Future Chord PR Roster

North Carolina duo RBTS WIN have announced their return today with news of the band’s forthcoming album, happy_sad.jpg, out later this year.

Take flight with lead single “Some Daze” — a chandelier of psychedelic pop and melodic hip-hop that shadows Chet Faker, alt-J, and Milky Chance. Premiering at Glide Magazine, it features a music video directed by the group’s own Javi Bolea (which you can check out below).

Comprised of Bolea and Cliff B. Worsham, RBTS WIN forge their own brand of cerebral pop music in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Invoking the harmony and chaos of analog synthesizers and old-school samplers, the collective of sonic adepts have grown a cult following throughout the southeast.

As much as the Asheville-based musicians’ work eschews formula or convention, they frequently explore themes of love, spirit, and connection, along with references to the natural world. A mainstay at MoogFest over the years, the band has gained a reputation for cathartic live performances awash in voices, guitars, and drum machines — leading to direct support for Toro y Moi, RJD2, Mount Kimbie, and more.
